What, now I can obsess on Angry Birds on my psp too?!
That is right, you heard it right! So go on and grab some PlaystationNetwork points and get yourself Angry Birds for you psp because we know how tired you are of playing it on your phones already. I wish I could say it feels better on the psp but, in all honesty the goodness feels the same… nothing different. However, now you can save the battery life of your phone and tote around your psp with you where you go so that you can drain the psp when in a line or just waiting for something somewhere but, please don’t play this while driving. It is a hazard if you do so. Well I certainly hope that you enjoy this on as we always have.
“There’s no denying that Angry Birds is fun, but it could use polish — such as sharper visuals, a better price and smoother action. It’s one of those games I could play for a few hours on a plane or obsess over on my couch.” ~IGN
We give this one 3.5 stars out of 5.
Will it be as good as the movie, you Tron fans decide…
Evolution is an epic adventure set in a massive digital world filled with high-mobility disc-based combat and advanced light cycles. Set during the era between the two TRON films, TRON: Evolution conveys the story of significant events within the TRON mythology.
“TRON: Evolution is barely a TRON game. It’s a repetitive cyberpunk Prince of Persia. The platforming and combat are flashy, but both feel awkward to control and get really competitive. All the cool things you’d expect in a TRON game are restricted to the limited multiplayer modes. If you’ve got 10 people you can play some fun multiplayer games, but there are only a half dozen maps including the day one DLC. If you want to find out what happens between the two films, then you at least get a bit of a story here. And if the developers keep expanding the multiplayer with DLC like they’re already doing then this game could be worth a purchase eventually. But right now TRON feels like a movie cash in game more than the next step in a classic gaming franchise.” We give this one 2.5 stars out of 5 stars.
Is it possible, yes it is! Better then Chains of Olympus.
In his quest to rid himself of the nightmares that haunt him, Kratos must embark on a journey that will reveal the origins of lost worlds. Armed with the deadly chained Blades of Athena, he will have to overcome armies of mythological monsters, legions of undead soldiers, and amazingly dangerous and brutal landscapes throughout his merciless quest.
Needs a bit more but, surely a great start.
Invizimals turns your PSP into a device that lets you discover and capture the monsters living in the world around you. The excitement of capturing hidden monsters and uncovering their secret world is literally in your hands
They did way better then the first Phantasy Star Portable, as best they could.
Return to the Phantasy Star Portable world in a global online multiplayer experience! The Phantasy Star series returns to the PlayStationPortable for an exciting new adventure, bringing all new content and returning the series back to its online roots. Picking up three years after the exciting Phantasy Star Universe saga, Phantasy Star Portable 2 brings the series to its conclusion as players take on the role of mercenary to save the Gurhal system. Phantasy Star Portable 2 offers a gigantic dose of original content from new combat moves, weapons and character customization options. New to the Phantasy Star Portable franchise, online play through Infrastructure mode and enhanced social interactivity adds to the adventure for fans and newcomers alike.
‘It’s a shame that some of the core issues with Phantasy Star Portable 2 are at least partially the fault of the limitations of the hardware. But it feels as though the developers pushed the PSP as far as they could, and delivered an improvement over the first game. After many hours, and many unsuccessful boss fights, I’m still enjoying Phantasy Star Portable 2. The pacing and numerous options have continuously kept me in pursuit of the next weapon, and the next class of difficulty. I’ll be playing the game long after this review is complete, and that alone should be a reason for you to give it a try.’ We give it a 4 stars out of 5
This one is way better then FIFA 11!
PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2011 is here and will bring digital soccer to the next level. Central to the heart and soul of PES 2011 is the idea of freedom of play. This freedom invigorates the series with the most advanced set of gamplay improvements ever attempted by the Winning Eleven Production team, coupled with the greatest stride in new content. The result will be a game that allows total control over every element of play – even online – to give the most lifelike soccer experience next to actually putting on a uniform and taking the field.
‘After the promising strides made by last year’s reboot, PES 2011 feels very much a realisation of that potential. With its emphasis on fun still apparent, the added realism provided by control, animation and AI enhancements improve and broaden the package’s appeal no end. Factor in the added tactical flexibility and the addition of the online Master League, and it’s easy to see why PES’ return to form will be widely celebrated. Some may prefer FIFA’s more studied approach to football realism, but when it comes to pick-up-and-play fun and intensity, PES 2011 gets my vote this year.’ We here give it a 4.5 our of 5 stars.
No need to pretend, now you can fly a jet fighter yourself!
The latest installment of the greatest air combat game series soars onto the PSP system with an arsenal full of ground breaking new features! ACE COMBAT JOINT ASSAULT pushes the PSP system’s capacity to its limit with robust online gameplay, CO-OP enabled campaign mode, new strategic AI system and more!
‘Ace Combat: Joint Assault is really two games: a dull, going-through-the-paces solo experience and a clever multiplayer approach to the handheld flying niche. If you’re looking for an engrossing single-player piloting adventure, keep on looking. The campaign is repetitive, the dogfights are dull and the storyline is painful. However, if you have a group of friends with PSPs and a hankering for high-speed aerial maneuvering, then give Joint Assault some serious consideration. In the right hands, I could see it being a multiplayer hit.’
Valkyria Chronicles II is exclusive for psp :( or :)
The Sequel To The Critically Acclaimed PlayStation3 computer entertainment system Masterpiece Comes Exclusively To The PSP System JOIN TOGETHER AND DEFEAT THE REBEL FORCES Be the hero in a dramatic fight to save your country alongside fellow cadets from Gallia’s Lancir Military Academy. Two years after the great battle against the Imperial Army, Gallia and its plentiful mineral resources are under attack again – this time from the rebel Gallian Revolutionary Army that aims to conquer Gallia’s new regime. Now with a completely revamped BLiTZ battle system, you have more customization options, more military units and hundreds of new missions for the most in-depth Valkyria Chronicles experience ever.
If you played the first one, you will certainly love Valkyria Chronicles II. If you have not that is ok the story line is to where you will be able to pick up quite well even though this one is two years after the first one. Your character is Avan Hardin and your really can care less about the war going on until you hear about your brother being killed in an operation. This one even thought it is about you getting enraged because your brother got killed it has plenty of humor in it. You have been put in the lowest squad and no one really take them serious, until of course you have a purpose.
You will enjoy a few cut scenes here and there but really most scenes are comic like with really great voice overs. The strategy part of the first one has been used in the second one with a few changes that will certainly have you enjoying your battles. As you progress in the game it will certainly get harder as you will have to use more strategy to accomplish your missions. If you find it too hard you also get a rad multi player mode where a friend can help you out, as well as a versus mode but, I think the multi player ad-hoc really is much more fun. We give it 4.5 stars out of 5.
Ys Seven is a classic RPG with speed as a super power
The kingdom of Altago is rebuilding their kingdom around a newfound peace after years of war against the merciless armies of Romn. The classic adventuresome duo, Adol and Dogi, arrive in the harbor of Altago City, and quickly find themselves in a scuffle with the Dragon Knights, the kingdom’s military police body, when attempting to save a local girl from harassment by one of their commanding officers. Upset by the interruption and subsequent humiliation, the commander arrests Adol and Dogi, charging them with espionage. The king of Altago, having known of the duo’s pending arrival from an old trusted friend, quickly releases the pair from prison and summons them to his chambers. He tells the men about an ancient shrine that was uncovered after a recent earthquake, and asks for their help in investigating this mysterious new find. Adol and Dogi oblige, unaware that they are about to take the first steps on a long journey to save all of Altago from long-forgotten ancient forces, and to reunite the estranged five tribes who serve and protect the Five Great Dragons – deified beings who may well be the world’s last hope.
Ys Seven is a JRPG(Japanese Role Playing Game) port over from Japan and we are so glad this has been brought to the USA. This starts a bit slow but when it gets going boy does it ever get going. The party has three characters and you only control one at a time while the AI controls the other two but, you can switch between them at will. The way that the characters learn new moves is by using weapons with special skills and you use them enough that you learn these abilities. So it really makes you keep your inventory up to date, to play at your optimum level. The boss fights are epic and really keep you on your toes. You have to pay attention to the patterns and stay consistent with your attacks.
The story might take you over the same lands over and over however it does change slightly so that does help. It would have been nice is the story worked a bit more on the characters you are playing but, the combat action, plenty of coinage, and awesome boss battles… this is a sure pick. We give it a 4 stars out of 5.
Madden NFL 11 makes you excited or disappointed?
Madden NFL 11 redefines the way you experience the game of football. Simpler. From 350 plays down to 1, the all-new GameFlow system puts you in the helmet of an NFL quarterback, allowing you to execute an authentic, tailor-made game plan one play at a time. Quicker. With 60-minute game times reduced to 30, spend more time on the field and less in the playbook. Same drama, half the time. Deeper. Madden NFL 11 reinvents how you play online with the all-new Online Team Play mode featuring 3-on-3 co-op play. Madden NFL 11-Simpler. Quicker. Deeper than ever before. There’s no question that the gameplay in Madden NFL 11 is bad to the bone, but some of the AI helps the offense a bit too much. Online Team Play and the including Gus Johnson are great and add a lot to the package, but we noticed that the legends are not given the merits they deserve. Madden this year is really for the mainstream football fan; someone who just wants to come in after playing a game of catch outside and get their hands on some real NFL talent. For that audience Madden NFL 11 delivers. However, if you’re more of the fantasy football player, I think this year’s Madden is going to leave something to be desired. We give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
