This one is way better then FIFA 11!
PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2011 is here and will bring digital soccer to the next level. Central to the heart and soul of PES 2011 is the idea of freedom of play. This freedom invigorates the series with the most advanced set of gamplay improvements ever attempted by the Winning Eleven Production team, coupled with the greatest stride in new content. The result will be a game that allows total control over every element of play – even online – to give the most lifelike soccer experience next to actually putting on a uniform and taking the field.
‘After the promising strides made by last year’s reboot, PES 2011 feels very much a realisation of that potential. With its emphasis on fun still apparent, the added realism provided by control, animation and AI enhancements improve and broaden the package’s appeal no end. Factor in the added tactical flexibility and the addition of the online Master League, and it’s easy to see why PES’ return to form will be widely celebrated. Some may prefer FIFA’s more studied approach to football realism, but when it comes to pick-up-and-play fun and intensity, PES 2011 gets my vote this year.’ We here give it a 4.5 our of 5 stars.
Madden NFL 11 makes you excited or disappointed?
Madden NFL 11 redefines the way you experience the game of football. Simpler. From 350 plays down to 1, the all-new GameFlow system puts you in the helmet of an NFL quarterback, allowing you to execute an authentic, tailor-made game plan one play at a time. Quicker. With 60-minute game times reduced to 30, spend more time on the field and less in the playbook. Same drama, half the time. Deeper. Madden NFL 11 reinvents how you play online with the all-new Online Team Play mode featuring 3-on-3 co-op play. Madden NFL 11-Simpler. Quicker. Deeper than ever before. There’s no question that the gameplay in Madden NFL 11 is bad to the bone, but some of the AI helps the offense a bit too much. Online Team Play and the including Gus Johnson are great and add a lot to the package, but we noticed that the legends are not given the merits they deserve. Madden this year is really for the mainstream football fan; someone who just wants to come in after playing a game of catch outside and get their hands on some real NFL talent. For that audience Madden NFL 11 delivers. However, if you’re more of the fantasy football player, I think this year’s Madden is going to leave something to be desired. We give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
EA announces new feature for FIFA 11, personality+.
A Sports is putting a little personality into its venerable soccer franchise. The publisher officially announced FIFA 11 early June, highlighting Personality+, a feature EA says will add a new level of authenticity to every player in the game, on and off the ball. EA Sports announced the game through the official FIFA 11 web site, stating that Personality+ would distinguish individual footballers from one another and bring star players’ unique abilities to life in the game. ”Personality+ is the evolution of individual distinctiveness that sees a footballer’s abilities on the pitch mirrored authentically in our game, creating individual personalities in FIFA 11,” said Executive Producer Kaz Makita. “We have reached a level of sophistication within our game engine where footballers in our game will behave and perform as true individuals.” Lionel Messi will change direction at pace, Kaka will deliver crisp, creative passes, and Wayne Rooney will hold off defenders to open space and deliver powerful strikes. Every player in the game is being evaluated and graded based on 36 attributes and 57 traits in order deliver on the promise of Personality+. EA also described the new Pro Passing feature coming to FIFA 11, a system that determines pass accuracy based on a gamer’s ability on the control pad, player skill, and the situation and urgency on the pitch. The publisher describes it as a “deeply rewarding” passing system. New body types and player models will further add to the authenticity of each footballer when FIFA 11 arrives on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS and PSP this fall. Look out for this title, get yours now!
LEGO seems to not disappoint, even with Indiana Jones 2.
LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues combines the fun and creative construction of LEGO bricks with the wits, daring and non-stop action of one of cinema’s most beloved adventure heroes. With a unique, tongue-in-cheek take on all the Indiana Jones films – including for the first time ever Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – LEGO Indiana Jones 2 follows Dr. Jones’ escapades from the jungles of South America to the Peruvian Ruins and beyond. This game has a new split screen feature so that you can play co-op and are able to go far away from each other, however it might give some people motion sickness. This game is simple and certainly enjoyable, the hub worlds are reworked, plenty of them, and shorter levels give us break much needed. The level creating can be tricky at times, plus these levels you make can’t be shared online in any way. None the less LEGO Indiana Jones 2 does not disappoint. We give it 4 stars out of 5.
EA builds a powerful game and raises the bar
Feel the emotion of authentic college football more than ever with NCAA Football 11. From running the ‘no-huddle’ spread offense to walking out of the tunnel locking arms, everything you do and see will be original to your favorite school. With an all-new locomotion engine and real assignment A.I., only this game gives you 120 ways to win! After several years of being a good but not great franchise. This game emerges. The new lighting makes a big difference. Last year’s players almost look like a bunch of cartoon characters running around in comparison to this one. I’d like more situation specific audio, as some of the commentary sounds our of place at times. The smoothness of the locomotion engine makes running and finding holes effective even with just the left stick. The improved presentation might leap out at you, but it’s the on-the-field action that puts on the real show. We give it 4.5 stars out of 5.
