In Civilization V, players strive to become Ruler of the World by establishing and leading a civilization from the dawn of man into the space age, waging war, conducting diplomacy, discovering new technologies, going head-to-head with some of history’s greatest leaders and building the most powerful empire the world has ever known

‘Civilization V is one of the best turn-based strategy games I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. Whether teaming up with my friends for some multiplayer, or simply losing a whole night of sleep to the game’s endlessly replayable single player, this is one game that any strategy enthusiast, or, hell anyone strat-curious should check out. Sure, I miss some of the deeper inter-civilization relations that the more defined religion and government setup brought in Civilization IV, but that’s nothing anyone new to the series will even think twice about. With all the tips, advisers and tools in place, this is the first Civilization for PC that I feel is worth just about every person’s time. Go forth and create, subdue, and exploit. Do as Firaxis has done, and bring Civilization to the masses.’

Enter the grid!

Evolution is an epic adventure set in a massive digital world filled with high-mobility disc-based combat and advanced light cycles. Set during the era between the two TRON films, TRON: Evolution conveys the story of significant events within the TRON mythology.

‘It’s been nearly 30 years since the release of the Tron in theaters. Now it’s time for a new generation to experience the beloved series. Tron: Legacy, the upcoming film, is a true sequel to Tron that takes place a few decades after the original. The game, Tron: Evolution, is the bridge between the first film and the second, telling the story of what happened to the digital realm over the past 20-odd years…

Light Cycles are a key part of Tron. The parkour elements are nice, the combat is good, but it’s not a successful Tron game if the Cycle portions aren’t spot-on. Tron: Evolution is set for release at the end of the year, meaning developer Propaganda has plenty of time to turn this from boring to thrilling. It needs to feel competitive and dangerous. And the Cycles need a definitely kick in speed.

Tron: Evolution is being given more attention than your typical movie-licensed game. If the Light Cycle segments turn out right, then this could be one of the surprise games of this winter.’

A full 250 years after the original Guild Wars, massive upheavals, cataclysms, and globe-spanning events have changed the world of Tyria. Human civilization is in decline. Other races are rising up, taking control over large portions of the world; the balance of power has shifted. The dragons have awoken. Guild wars 2 is the sequel.

This sequel seems to bring many a good changes to the table.  For one this game is more of a world based game as opposed the the first guild wars.  When enemies pop up in the world you will have a choice if you want to fight the enemy in a group or just choose to the ignore the instance.  Also in the sequel you will automatically start with a pet if you so choose a ranger as in the first one you had to slowly build up to the pet, making your character miss out on buffers as you leveled up.  There will be more so keep an eye out for this one.

Coming this February to four major platforms (PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and Mac) Portal 2 draws from the award-winning formula of innovative gameplay, story, and music that earned the original Portal over 70 industry accolades and created a cult following. The single-player portion of Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game. The game’s two-player cooperative mode features its own entirely separate campaign with a unique story, test chambers, and two new player characters. This new mode forces players to reconsider everything they thought they knew about portals. Success will require them to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively.

The best feature that seems a bit dumb but, by no means is the co-op mode this game has.  Two players have to work together to solve the puzzle every level.  Seems that there is also a twist, at the end when the two players have bonded they will have to more then likely face each other.  This game has plenty of puzzles for you to challenge your brain power.  Get your copy of this more then anticipated game.

Disciples III: Renaissance is the next title in the award-winning Disciples series, and it represents a leap forward in the evolution of the turn-based RPG/strategy genre. Building on the successes of the first two games, DIII introduces a host of new features, as well as the compelling gameplay that made the previous titles such hits. As a Lord of one of the fantastical races of Nevendaar, you must fight to restore your deity’s rule over your world. There are three playable races to choose from: the Empire, the Elven Alliance and the notorious Legion of the Damned. For the first time in the series, the gloriously ominous and notoriously gloomy world of Disciples is rendered in full 3D, allowing the player to experience this realm as it should be. Disciples uses its own Virtual Dream engine to render the stunning 3D environments.

Disciples III: Renaissance is a monotone experience. Seeing everything in the world of this game is decent, but gameplay is not really entertaining. Combat can get boring at times, at first it might get some of your attention. This game is epic and I mean it as in way too long, not even because the story is good at all. If you are Disciples series follower, you might enjoy this one. Don’t get me wrong there is lots to do, but you should really test it out first of all.

Brink is an immersive shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character across all modes of play. You decide the role you want to assume in the world of Brink as you fight to save yourself and mankind’s last refuge for humanity. Brink offers a compelling mix of dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system that will keep you coming back for more.

Brink takes place on the Ark, a man-made floating city that is on the brink of all-out civil war. Originally built as an experimental, self-sufficient and 100% “green” habitat, the reported rapid rise of the Earth’s oceans has forced the Ark to become home to not only the original founders and their descendants but also to thousands of refugees. With tensions between the two groups growing, Security and Resistance forces are locked in a heated battle for control of the Ark. Which side will you choose?

This game might just kill any first person shooter, ok ok that is being to optimistic, however this game will be loads of shoot ‘em down fun.  Starting with the ability to many levels of being able to customize your character with awesome perks and abilities that will be slowly unlocked as you progress in the game.  For each mission it is explained as a mission briefer on what is expected to win and why it has to happen the way it has to go down.  As you earn credits for playing the game as you should, you will be able to use the credits for perks, so you not only get rewarded for killing but also for doing certain side missions.  So you might complete a task even before you kill any of your opponents, easy as that.  The greatest part about this game is that game play for single player is the same as the game play for multi-player because you have to do certain objectives in the game to complete the mission.  This game is certainly one of the most anticipated games out on the market today.
